Editing Points
You can edit multiple points simultaneously by selecting them, and choosing Point > Edit Points... (it doesn't matter if objects of other kinds are also selected). The parameters which you can edit are basically the same as in the Info Panel for a point.
For parameters such as color and x, y, and z values, you need to place a checkmark in the checkbox to the left of the value in order for your change to take effect. For other parameters which have a three-state checkbox, the following rules apply, depending upon what's inside the checkbox:
Dash (Macintosh) or grayed checkmark (Windows): no change.
Empty: off/no.
Checkmark: on/yes.
For coordinates, all of the selected points will acquire the given coordinate if and only if you also place a checkmark in the checkbox to the left of the value. If you were to place a checkmark in each of the x and y checkboxes, then all the selected points would end up at the same location; checking the z checkbox would also give them the same elevation.
When you click the OK button, your explicit changes will be applied to all selected points.
