About Layers
In SimuTerra, a layer is not a separate container or other kind of entity. Rather, it is simply a means of controlling whether an object can be seen, and whether it can be edited. Since multiple objects can be in any given layer, you can therefore hide or show multiple objects just by changing their layer's parameters.
This is especially handy if you import a DXF file consisting of many (often over a hundred) layers. You can use the layer mechanism to easily accomplish tasks such as to delete all objects in all layers other than contour layers.
In the Layers Window (accessible through the Window menu), you can add, delete, and edit layers. You can select multiple layers, and act on them simultaneously.
